Our Story

JOURNEY THROUGH TIME AND STYLE

Originally designed by architect Virgil Dante Cizzio, Hotel Morris exudes historical significance and architectural splendour. Lovingly restored, it preserves its heritage while offering 82 rooms that blend Italian boutique charm with Sydney CBD’s vibrant energy.

ART DECO SPLENDOUR

Designed by the renowned Tom Mark Henry, Hotel Morris’ interior blends Art Deco opulence with modern comfort. Brass fixtures, intricate detailing, and premium furnishings offer a haven of luxury and tranquillity.

A VOYAGE FROM DARK TO LIGHT

Hotel Morris draws inspiration from Dante’s Divine Comedy, one of the world’s great works of literature. Divided into three sections—Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso—the narrative traces Dante’s journey from darkness to divine light. Hotel Morris echoes this concept, guiding guests on a symbolic journey from the darkness and temptation of Bar Morris to the lightness and purity of the guest rooms above.

Whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure, immerse yourself in the timeless charm of our boutique hotel and discover why Hotel Morris is Sydney’s hidden gem.
